To balance out our formulation, we start with dried, dehydrated Amanita muscaria caps. This process tends to convert some of the ibotenic acid into muscimol, but not to the extent needed. To further convert more ibotenic acid into muscimol, we grind the mushrooms into a powder, combine the powder with degassed water, and slowly increase temperature to complete the process of decarboxylation. Once we are done the solution has a ratio of ibotenic acid to muscimol around 3:2 on average. This solution is then cooled and infused into our gummies.

This can present in the form of stomach cramps or nausea, which is typically not concerning when consuming a psychoactive mushroom.
