Shipping Your Order
So you browsed our website, found a product...maybe several products...or even a bundle that you're really interested in trying!
Then, you filled out your contact information, put in your address, picked a shipping method and then proceeded to payment. And if your order was over $50, shipping was free.

What happens next?
Well, for you, it's time to just sit back, relax, and wait for your hemp-derived goodies to come in the mail.
For us, it's time to spring into action!
When the order is submitted, our warehouse team here in Austin, Texas will assemble your package and get it ready for shipping.
And as soon as your shipping label is printed, you will get an automatic email with your tracking information.
Your shipment will go out depending on the time of day in which your order was placed.
If you're an early bird or even an earlyish bird, and your order was submitted before 11:00 a.m. CT, it will go out on the same day.
After 11:00 a.m., it will go out on the next business day. So if you placed your order on a Friday afternoon, for example, it wouldn't go out until Monday.
So how do we get packages to our customers?
Our orders are shipped through the U.S. Postal Service!
The USPS

To best guarantee that your hemp-derived products will get to your address is through shipping with the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). And Hometown Hero is also registered with the USPS.
We don't really need to tell you what the USPS is, but why do we use them to ship our hemp-derived Delta-9, Delta-8, and CBD?
For starters, private carriers can be a bit shaky when delivering any type of hemp product. Some might just flat out refuse to ship anything related to hemp. Others might open up your package on the suspicion that it’s marijuana.
The U.S. Postal Service, on the other hand, is an independent agency of the executive branch of the U.S. federal government. They have to work strictly within federal law, and they explicitly state that they permit the shipment of hemp-derived products.
They’re well aware that hemp flower will smell the same as marijuana (our flower is backed in sealed capsules, so this wouldn’t be a problem). They know that hemp is legal and products with a 0.3% or lower concentration of hemp-derived Delta-9 THC are legally hemp.
In other words, the USPS knows the drill when it comes to hemp products, and that’s a major reason why we choose to ship with them.
The States We Ship To

In short, as of October 18, 2021, you can have Hometown Hero products delivered to you in any state (minus California), Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico.
"Wait? What? Why not California?"
We'd love to ship to California, but due to a lot of regulatory restrictions and red tape for shipping there, it's off our radar for now.
"Ok, so I can get just about anything from your store delivered no matter where I live in the country?"
That will significantly depend on the product. All hemp products are legal on a federal level due to the 2018 Farm Bill. However, several states have put restrictions on Delta-8 THC.
To find out if you can purchase Delta-8 in your state, we have this handy map.
On the other hand, our Select Spectrum products, which have hemp-derived CBD and hemp-derived Delta-9, are legal in all 50 states.
If something is banned in your state, territory, or district, we won't ship it there because you wouldn’t be able to place an order in the first place.
You can always rest assured because, at Hometown Hero, the last thing we would ever want to do is put you or any other customer in any legal jeopardy.
When To Expect Your Package

We would love to tell you exactly when your package arrives.
However, we're not like some e-commerce giants that have their own delivery service. As stated before, we ship all of our products through the USPS.
So once it's out of our warehouse, it's in the hands of your friendly neighborhood letter carrier.
Depending on the shipping method, it could be 2-5 business days or 1-3 business days. But keep in mind that these time frames are not guaranteed, especially since the start COVID-19 pandemic.
To this day, shipping in every industry hasn't fully recovered to where it was before the pandemic.
However, with the tracking number, you can always check up on the status of your package.
What should be noted is that sometimes packages can be held at the post office "per customer request."
In this scenario, it's recommended that you reach out to your local Post Office to retrieve this package and remove any future holds.
Another scenario is that you have a "delivered" status on your tracking number, but you do not see a package.
This can make your heart skip for a second, but don't panic!
In rare cases, a package may show up as "delivered," but it could take an additional 24 hours. If 24 hours have passed from the "delivered status," we recommend reaching out to our Customer Support.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding when it comes to any unexpected delays in shipping.
And if you have any concerns that your package was lost, you can always reach out to us, and we would be more than happy to replace it for you!

So what exactly does that mean?
Simply put, if you have tried a product for the first time from our online store, but don't like it, you can send it back, and we'll give you a gift card to try something else.
Why do we do this?
We believe that you shouldn't have to pay for something that you don't genuinely enjoy.
Here are the requirements to meet our Worry-Free Guarantee:
- It has to be the first time you ordered the product from our online store.
- The product must be, at most, half-used.
- Your request must be made within 14 days from the delivery date.
- The order must have been placed in the U.S.
- It cannot be a clearance or bulk item.
