There are over 113 cannabinoids that can be derived from hemp. The top three most sought after cannabinoids are as follows:
Delta 9 THC (Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) is a common cannabinoid located in both hemp and marijuana plants. This leads to the question—how are cannabinoids extracted from hemp?
There are several processes, and one of them is known as “CO2 extraction.” This process allows cannabinoids to be extracted straight from hemp by applying pressurized CO2 at high temperatures to “push” the cannabinoids out of the plant matter.
At Hometown Hero, we utilize the CO2 extraction process to put naturally-derived cannabinoids in our products. This method ensures that our products are safe and made with quality.
While Delta 8 THC might feature familiar properties to Delta 9 THC, it is less potent and offers different effects.
Delta 8 is an isomer of Delta 9. Delta 9 has a link known as a “double-bond” that can be found on its ninth carbon chain, while Delta 8’s double-bond is located on its eighth carbon chain. This may seem like a slight difference, but the location of the bond will determine the effect it has on someone’s body.
A cannabinoid will usually deliver a unique experience to each individual. But when it comes to Delta-9, people have reported having similar effects, including:
Our bodies are not all the same, so your experience may be different than the effects above. How frequently you use Delta 9 and the amount you consume makes an impact on your overall experience.
As a general rule-of-thumb, if you are new to Delta-9 or hemp, it is best to start small and see how it affects your body.
