Have you heard the news about a legal THC you can have shipped straight to your door? Delta 8 THC is undoubtedly the future of cannabis both medically and recreationally, but being that it is such a new product, there are a lot of misconceptions floating around, including the idea that Delta 8 THC is synthetic. That statement could not be more wrong and we are here to clear up any confusion you might have.
What is Delta 8 THC?
Delta 8 THC is a unique chemical compound found in the cannabis plant that has some properties familiar to Delta 9 THC, also known as the intoxicating compound found in your common marijuana, but with less potency and different effects.
Legal almost nationwide under the Farm Bill, Delta 8 THC delivers an uplifting feeling with a relaxing body sensation without the same heady effects that Delta 9 THC can bring to its users. Making it the perfect alternative for those who don’t feel the effects of something like CBD, but still want to experience the benefits of cannabis.

What are synthetic cannabinoids?
Synthetic cannabinoids, also known as K2 or Spice, are man-made, mind-altering chemicals that are similar to chemicals found in the natural marijuana plant. Due to its similarity with the marijuana, it is commonly referred to as synthetic marijuana, or “fake weed” and is traditionally marketed as a legal and safe alternative to that drug.
In fact, that is false. These drug alternatives are not safe and may actually affect the brain in a more powerful way than your traditional marijuana, with their actual effects being unpredictable, sometimes even dangerous and life-threatening to its users.
What Is the difference between Delta 8 THC and spice?
To put it simply, Delta 8 THC is not synthetic and is a natural occurring compound. Delta 8 THC is created using hemp and/or cannabis plants while the chemicals found in K2 are entirely synthetic and made in a lab.
Being that the synthetic cannabinoids have wildly different, sometimes even deadly, side effects compared to actual cannabis, we do not recommend you consume these products, especially as you can now buy safe, lab-tested cannabis nationwide. You can even have it shipped right to your door! While the side effects of Delta 8 THC are similar to those of Delta 9 THC, it offers a less potent alternative to your everyday marijuana, much safer side effects than what one could see on spice.
Is CBD flower spice?
Another common misconception floating around the cannabis community, and a question we get almost daily is “is CBD flower the same as spice or K2?” Not at all. Synthetic cannabinoids again are human-made, mind-altering chemicals, compared to CBD, which is an active compound in the cannabis and hemp plants.
